if the women of new york city during fashion week are any indication, bill cunningham has declared that shoes have taken over handbags as THE fashion statement for F/W2008. i personally love it! must be the recession or something, but the amount of money you would spend for, say, a chanel bag(would you believe a medium classic flap bag/2.55 in caviar is almost USD 3000!! CRAZY! i bought mine for SO MUCH CHEAPER), you can get at least 4 or 5 decent pairs from louboutin or YSL. so now you know where my money will be spent in my next new york trip (btw, a week and a half to go! ACK!!!!!)

i thought this was funny! almost all the girls i know bring an extra pair of shoes in their bag or in their car. i have flip flops in my car and just change into my shoes once i get to my parking slot. i would die for fashion, but there has got to be some time for my feet to rest. walking around in 4-inch miu miu pumps is a skill i need to work into my resume.
