i couldn’t resist it, i’ve been going to the store every day during my lunch break. finally had to get it today. joey was telling me to wait for tomorrow, good feng shui since it is 8-8-8. none of us have enough chinese blood to really appreciate the significance of the date, so to hell with that.

this all started when i fell in love with the fluorescent marc jacobs stam but the store at greenbelt 4 didn’t have them(and i really don’t think they’d get it – SSI is lame like that) but i always knew i wanted a balenciaga for my next bag. ask alabelle, i was scouring ebay, balenciaga.com and other sites for a bag since god-knows-when. now, ever since i saw the twiggy a few years ago at homme et femme, i thought this was THE balenciaga for me. not the city, not the part time, but yah, maybe the first. but whatevs, too small anyway. so yah, the twiggy! now the next decision was what color – black? anthracite(a dark grey/black). but those colors, i thought were boring. am i going to be 30, boring and matronly?

if you know me, you know most of my clothes are neutral in nature. i really play it up with accessories or a pop of color here and there. no pinks or violets for me though, just not the type. then came ricky’s text during the first day of the balenciaga store(that was sunday), he said there was a cute neon yellow bag on display. then came CVS’ store photos on flickr and i saw the twiggy in electric yellow. i really had to see it in person and when i saw it, i was floored. in love! like i said in my last post, be still my beating heart. and this totally combines the two things i wanted – a bag in a bright color to perk me up plus it’s a balenciaga. WOOHOO!!

i swear, retail therapy really does wonders.
